Great Food. No, Really!!!
Voted "Best Bar Food” 2012 by D Magazine
"There are classier items on the menu here (duck confit, with roasted red pepper and smoked Gouda, served on a toasted roll with beer vinegar), but, man, we don’t need anything besides the three-cheese grilled cheese. It’s the best in town. Yeah, we just said that.” -
Truck yard (across the street from CTD)
5624 Sears Street
469-500-0139
Hours: Sun - Sat 11am - 12am
“Stop by this cooler-than-Austin hangout and feast your eyes (and tummies) on an Airstream trailer bar, mattress-spring light fixtures, old truck-bed lounges, plastic flamingo decor, and a treehouse bar overlooking the whole shebang.” - DMagazine Truck Yard is a come-as-you-are beer garden and adult playground. With over 15,000 square feet of heavily shaded outdoor space, trailer-park decor, signature draft cocktails, and even a treehouse bar with craft hand-bottled cocktails, there’s no place else quite like Truck Yard.

Nora Restaurant and Bar, opened in the summer of 2012, is the third restaurant by restaurateur and chef Matt Pikar. Matt began his culinary career in Washington, D.C. in 2001 when he opened Afghan Grill. His clientele included many senators, congressmen and diplomats. After rave reviews and success in D.C., Matt moved to Texas in 2007 and opened the well regarded Afghan Grill in North Dallas. Determined to make Afghan food better known, he decided to open a new venture closer to Dallas proper. Nora's namesake, Nora Pikar was just three months old when construction of the restaurant began. She and her older sister Stella were along every step of the way from construction to decoration and opening. The goal of Nora Restaurant and Bar is to introduce Greenville Avenue to a type of food it has yet to experience. With their friendly service and atmosphere, they strive to be an exotic spot that feels like home.Afghan cuisine consists of a rich mix of spices and tastes. Some of the ingredients you'll find at Nora include yogurt, garlic, onions, spring onions, and tomatoes as well as mint, saffron, cilantro and cardamom. Looking to try something different? You can't go wrong with satiating dishes like Mantoo, Sabzi or Qabili Palao. In addition to their kabobs which are great for meat lovers, many of their dishes can be prepared vegetarian or gluten free. Their signature cocktails with Afghan influenced ingredients such as pomegranate juice, rosewater, cardamom and cucumber make for unique and refreshing libations.

“A nice respite from the bustle of Greenville Avenue, this cool coffee shop is known for its java, but also offers beer, wine and a good selection of sandwiches; the creative, interesting space is roomy and features animal trophies and quirky artwork, but it’s a “good place for studying” or sitting on the street side patio and people-watching.” - Zagat

Thirty-five years ago the first Snuffer's Restaurant & Bar opened in the Lower Greenville area of Dallas. That small one room space, seating only 55 customers, has been in continual use since 1978. That original Snuffer's location has grown through the years, through many room additions, and now accommodates about 350 guests. Our menu offerings have grown to include full Dinner Platters featuring hand battered Black Angus Chicken Fried Steak, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Fried Chicken, specialty sandwiches, wraps, and several entree Salads. We’ve also added an array of imaginative Burgers, which, along with our legendary Cheddar Fries have given us a national reputation. Just recently we've begun offering smaller 1/4 pound versions of all our classic 1/2 pound Burgers. Although we’ve expanded our menu choices over the years, the original concept remains intact: serve the absolute freshest, most flavorful casual menu at family friendly, affordable prices.
